KitchenAid K45SS Classic 250-Watt 4-1/2-Quart Stand Mixer Reviews.

Posted by: petitisobels on: March 21, 2009

Update: Mixer totally failed. The motor sparked and is done for. I definitely wouldn’t buy another one of these and would downgrade my rating to a two.
The mixer is good for doing an occasional bread recipe, and for other light tasks like whipping cream, mixing mashed potatoes, etc, but if you use it to make [...]

First, The Big Easy (TBE) cooks much faster than a “regular” turkey fryer. From start to finish, a turkey in TBE takes a total time of about 8-10 minutes per pound plus about 10-15 minutes to clean (by leaving it on) and a few minutes to cool down. Traditional oil frying may take much less [...]

Eastman Outdoors 38229 Reveo MariVac Food Tumbler Reviews.

Posted by: petitisobels on: March 16, 2009

The first few times I used this thing, I was NOT impressed. It did not seem to do much. Then I noticed a tiny crack in the black lid. It must have happened in shipping. I called the company and told them it had a hair line crack and didn’t seem to be drawing a [...]

Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 9-Piece Cookware Set Reviews.

These are basically good Calphalon pans. A number of folks have commented on concerns with the pans, and, unfortunately, many simply reflect a lack of understanding of what this cookware is and is not.
1. Yes, they’re made in China, and in some cases, that means a slightly thinner metal (this has been in part a [...]

Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor Reviews.

Posted by: petitisobels on: March 13, 2009

I think cuisinart is a good processor. Smooth and alot quieter than hamilton beach and cheaper brands. I never use anything except the metal S blade so I can’t say anything about the other attachments. I actually own this and the pro custom 11(DLC-8S). I process alot so 2 units are better for me. Both [...]

KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixers Reviews.

I would rate this appliance at a 3.5 out of 5 stars if you had that option.
NOISY!! Use ear protection. Otherwise the appliance works great.
I upgraded my 20+ year old Kitchen Aid 3.5 Qt. stand mixer, which still works, to this 6 Qt. model. I gave it a thorough testing, with my family’s favorite cookie [...]

KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixers Reviews.

Posted by: petitisobels on: March 10, 2009

This mixer is one quality machine! Most people use the phrase “built like a tank” to describe it, and there’s a lot of truth in that. It’s the Volvo of stand mixers. It will probably outlast you! I love my mixer and have had no problems whatsoever with it. I’m so glad I bought it. [...]

KitchenAid 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processors Reviews.

Posted by: petitisobels on: March 9, 2009

I’ve only had mine for a little over a week, but I’ve already used it for chopping, slicing, and lots of pureeing.
The unit is sturdily built, heavy and powerful, just as others describe.
But I want to comment on liquid jobs. If you are considering this unit for liquids, don’t be scared off by the negative [...]
